Greater Cambridge Shared Waste bin collection crews have been out emptying bins as usual today. However, due to the snow and ice, some streets were too dangerous for bin lorries to drive down, particularly those visited very early this morning. This means that some bins have not been emptied.

If all the bins on your street were not emptied today, you do not need to report it / them to South Cambridgeshire District Council as missed. Instead, please leave it / them out and the Council will try to re-collect them throughout this week. If they have not emptied the bins by the end of the week though, they will not be able to return until the next scheduled collection day but will clear any additional waste (side waste) at that time.

If you believe your bin has been missed, and others on your street were emptied, please report this in the usual way by visiting www.scambs.gov.uk/recycling-and-bins/report-a-missed-household-collection.

The Council has thanked residents for their understanding and apologised for any inconvenience.

Many thanks for your support. Please do let me know if you have any questions. With best wishes,

Tom
